Our Mission

About CURE Community Alliance

Cancer education that reflects the full experience of life

CURE Community Alliance is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to creating and supporting educational programs that foster whole-person cancer care.

Our efforts are grounded in a simple principle: people deserve cancer education that reflects the full experience of life during and beyond cancer.

This means creating education that extends beyond diagnosis and treatment to address the questions that matter in everyday life. It also means listening by learning from patients, survivors, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and community organizations about what would be most useful and how it should be delivered.

Through collaboration and charitable support, we turn what we learn into educational programs, shared experiences, and resources that help people learn, connect, and engage.

Our Mission

To create meaningful experiences that spark imagination, deepen understanding, and support patients, survivors, and caregivers through cancer care and the life that continues beyond it.

Our Vision

A future where cancer care supports the whole person and the life they continue to live.

A broader view

Cancer Care Extends Beyond Treatment

Life with cancer is about more than cancer. Emotional well-being, exercise, nutrition, relationships, sexual health, survivorship, and everyday life all have a place in whole-person cancer care.

CURE Community Alliance creates meaningful experiences that connect education, conversation, and community with life during and beyond cancer.

Our programs complement clinical care by bringing patients, survivors, and caregivers together to learn from experts, share experiences, connect with one another, and find information and resources that support the whole person.

Where Our Mission Comes to Life

  • Canvas & CURE

    Paint. Connect. Learn.

Canvas & CURE pairs guided painting with cancer education, offering time to unwind, share an experience with others, and explore topics that matter in everyday life.

Participants begin by painting together in a relaxed social setting before transitioning into an educational conversation with a healthcare professional or other subject matter expert.

Canvas & CURE offers a meaningful way to engage with important topics while spending time with others who share similar experiences.

  • Create & CURE

    Make. Connect. Discover.

Create & CURE brings hands-on activities and education together for children and families affected by pediatric cancer.

Through age-appropriate make-and-take activities, shared experiences, and educational programming, Create & CURE encourages children and families to express themselves, connect with others, and engage with supportive resources.

  • Cultivate & CURE

    Grow. Connect. Nourish.

Cultivate & CURE pairs hands-on gardening and culinary experiences with cancer education, offering opportunities to learn about nutrition, explore healthy habits, and enjoy meaningful time with others.

Participants begin with a guided activity, such as planting herbs, preparing a seasonal recipe, or learning to grow fresh produce, before transitioning into an educational conversation with a healthcare professional or other subject matter expert.

Cultivate & CURE offers a meaningful way to discover the benefits of nutrition and gardening, with ideas and inspiration for incorporating both into everyday life.

ROPE | Rural Oncology Patient Education

Where the Mountains Meet Our Mission

In 2027, CURE Community Alliance will introduce the Rural Oncology Patient Education (ROPE) initiative across Montana, partnering with Billings Clinic, Central Montana Medical Center, and Cancer Support Community Montana to offer meaningful, in-person educational experiences for patients, survivors, and caregivers.

Through locally informed programs, ROPE will explore topics that extend beyond cancer treatment, including psychosocial well-being, nutrition, physical activity, survivorship, and the everyday experiences of living with and beyond cancer. Each program will offer opportunities to learn from healthcare professionals, connect with others, and engage in conversations about what matters most in daily life.

At its heart, ROPE is about ensuring that geography does not determine access to meaningful education, shared experiences, and opportunities for connection.
